Step 1: Register for a Session

  • Financial aid amounts range from $35-$400 per session, depending on the program session and availability of funds.

Step 3 (Ohio Only): Enroll in the Helping 2 Overcome Systems (H2O) Day Treatment Program

H2O is a collaborative program that integrates therapeutic day treatment and individual case management with the fun and engaging activities of the Writing Our Adventures camp. While this program is a great resource for additional support, eligibility is based on medical necessity.

Eligibility for H2O Program:

  • Students must have Medicaid.
  • Students must undergo a diagnostic evaluation to determine if they qualify based on medical necessity.

Important Note: Not everyone who inquires about H2O will qualify. For example, students without a diagnosis after the diagnostic evaluation will not be eligible for this specific program. However, these students will still qualify for other financial aid and/or scholarship opportunities, ensuring they can experience all that Writing Our Adventures has to offer.

Medicaid Fraud Reminder:

Please note that Medicaid fraud involves intentionally providing false information to receive Medicaid benefits or services. Families must provide accurate and truthful information during the application process.

For those who qualify, the H2O program aims to deliver targeted services while your child enjoys all camp activities. Services include:

  • Building interpersonal and social skills such as problem-solving and emotion management.
  • Developing positive coping strategies to handle challenges effectively.
  • Managing mental health and behavioral symptoms to foster independence.
  • Participating in psychoeducational sessions to understand diagnoses, treatments, and rehabilitation strategies.
